From Chuck:
I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again after so many years.  I made it back to Darien for our 10th (or 15th, I can't remember which) reunion, but haven't been back since, so it will be great to catch up with everybody.  Since I've been out of touch for so long, I'll include a very brief bio.

After six years in the Navy following graduation from Annapolis, I ended up in the Washington, DC area.  I attended grad school in architecture, and have been a practicing architect in this area since 1979.

Elena and I were married in1996, and I gained an instant family since she brought with her two great boys.  The oldest graduated from college two years ago, and now resides in Richmond, VA, while the yougest will be entering the University of Virginia this fall.   Since the boys have left, we've replaced them with two golden retrievers and two cats.  All in all, not a bad swap.  Elena, an architect too, became a real estate developer (I always say she went to the dark side).  Our goal is to build a house on a waterfront lot we own in East Boothbay, Maine, soon, and hopefully move there full time.  We just have to figure out how we're going to make a living up there.

From Todd:
Thought you would like to know what I have up to for the last 41 years.
After high school, I attended and graduated from Allegheny College, in Meadville, PA with a B.A. in English and n M.A. in Education. I began teaching in the Cleveland area in 1970.
I have been involved with alternative high school education since 1974, when I helped start and teach in a school for potential drop-outs that continued for 26 years in the Berea, Ohio area. I have been involved with Young Life since 1963, and have been active in Young Life leadership and committees since 1970.
My wife, Carol, and I were married in Cleveland in 1975 (32 years this year!)

Following teaching in the Berea City School District, I was the Minister of Christian Education for six years at Bay Presbyterian Church in Bay Village, Ohio. I also worked in business for six years, as a senior account executive in employee benefits for New England Life and as a group pension specialist for CIGNA.

I returned to education as a teacher at an at-risk high school, was an assistant high school principal, a principal of an at-risk high school, and a principal at a career-technical high school. I was certified as a public school superintendent in Ohio, and started work on a Ph.D. in Urban Education at Cleveland State University

Moving to Colorado in 2001, I was involved at Pikes Peak Academy, an alternative Christian high school for at risk students in Colorado Springs, as a teacher, principal, and executive director. I am currently the Vice President for Education for the National Association of Street Schools, headquartered in Denver, an organization that builds capacity in over 50 faith-based schools for at-risk and underserved students in 27 cities across the country.
My family lives in Monument, Colorado, just north of the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, with two daughters, one at Wheaton College, in Illinois, and one in middle school.
I am really looking forward to seeing many good friends after so many years.

From Georgiana:
Rick (alias: Fred) and I have been married for 36 years. We moved to Crystal Lake, Il (a suburb of Chicago)in 1980 and have been here ever since, except for a short detour to Cincinnati from '86-'92. We have 2 daughters, both married (to guys we like). When it was time for them to settle down, they decided to move within walking distance of mom and dad. We have 2 grandchildren - a 5-year-old girl and 16 month-old boy. We see them often and help out with babysitting duties occasionally which means changing diapers again, chasing after a toddler and trying to answer the never-ending "why" questions that we didn't know the answers to when our own kids were asking them. Its fun. We love spoiling them and then they go home, which isn't a bad thing. Rick is still selling paper, and periodically takes time off to be a guest DJ on a Chicago jazz radio station. He still loves music and would prefer to do that full-time, but the gig doesn't pay anything. Maybe when he retires. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion and appreciate the efforts of those putting it together.

Occupation:  V P Sales of a Paper Mill
Marital Status:  Married
No. of Children:  2
From Rick:

Although I am "Rick" to close friends, I did not have the nerve to ask the teachers to stop calling me Fred until around our senior year of high school. Amazingly enough I have no apparent scars from having duel identities.

After High School I joined the navy for four years. I became a radioman.  After serving at Guantanamo Bay and on an LSD (everyone asks about the LSD) I was accepted at UCONN. This was a surprise to me, since I did not know I applied. Unbeknownst to me Georgie had forged my signature and applied for me. Four years later I walked out with a BS in Business and a pregnant wife. (I know how that happened.)

I have been selling paper to printers, retail advertisers, catalogs and magazines almost from the time I graduated.  I have taken advantage of the travel involved by visiting numberous jazz clubs around the world and have met some of my favorite musicians. (The travel also permits me to visit friends. I was fortunate to have dinner with John and Lorelle Foulds recently.)

Occasionally I am a host on a Chicago jazz radio station where I get to play some favorites from the music I have collected along the way.

I hope they play some GOOD music at the reunion! I still like that good old rock 'n roll too...

Rick
