From Nancy:
Well, I’ve missed the last four reunions so I hope I have a chance to attend one in the future. I have lived with and loved my big hunky Swedish-German husband, CHUCK, for almost forty years. He was a Naval flight surgeon, stationed with the Marines (1st MAW) during Vietnam war. Is now an aerospace medical examiner and physician in a family medicine practice. We live on Blueberry Hill, east of Amherst, on the lee side of Mt. Orient, and have a small horse farm and woods filled with wild critters. We have rehabilitated orphaned raccoons, baby squirrels, a peregrine nestling, a baby bard owl, and assorted other critters. Our three girls, Kate, Amy, and Jenn, graduated from local colleges and grad school (Mt. Holyoke, Smith, Amherst, UMass); all remained within 12 miles of Mom & Dad. Our two grandchildren, Katie and Indi, are as enthusiastic about rollercoasters and I am (I started brainwashing them early!). My husband and I have a Cessna; we fly as often as schedules and weather permit. I am a literary consultant, editor, and narrative therapist. I also edit the literary journal, Peregrine, teach creative writing through the Five-College system, and lead writing retreats at our other house in Norfolk, MA. I started writing fiction after twenty-five years in health care management, program development, and education. I served for many years as a communicable disease specialist to local boards of health, and as a visiting lecturer at the University of Massachusetts. My husband and I are members of Physicians for Social Responsibility and will join Doctors Without Borders when we retire. Life continues to excite and amaze me. Onward!

Sorry to say I won't be able to attend this reunion, the 20th and 30th were a lot of fun.
Lane (DHS 64) and I have two daughters married to wonderful guys we love. Last year both our girls had baby girls. We are Grandparents to a year old and 16th month old. We are having a ball with them.
We still live and work in Darien and will for a few more years. Then, who knows. Lane owns a Plumbing business and I have been elected to the RTM for 20 years, Chairman of Park and Recreation. I also  own Middlesex Creations and work for Lane.
When your in town you must see the NEW DHS, you won't believe it. $75 +mill. state of the art.
I hope you all do a handbook and also a group photo,  then at the 50th we can see how wonderful we all look, as we get younger.
Have fun

Following the quaint Feminist Tradition,  neither David Morse nor I changed our names when we got married.
I am looking forward to seeing so many people all about to turn 60.
Nora Ephron ponders:  " Do you splurge or do you hoard? Do you live every day as if it's your last, or do you save your money on the chance you'll live twenty more years?  Is life too short, or is it going to be too long?  Do you work as hard as you can, or do you slow down to smell the roses?  And where do carbohydrates fit into all this?  Ar we really going to have to spend our last years avoiding bread...And what about chocolate?

I've been living in South Windsor, CT since 1972 and currently manage a large Century21 Real Esate company in South Windsor. I have 2 sons (Derek & Ryan) and 2 grandchildren. Unfortunately, the grandchildren are in Las Vegas; fortunately, that's not a bad place to visit. Looking forward to "catching up" at the reunion.
