From Nancy:
Well, I’ve missed the last four reunions so I hope I have a chance to attend one in the future. I have lived with and loved my big hunky Swedish-German husband, CHUCK, for almost forty years. He was a Naval flight surgeon, stationed with the Marines (1st MAW) during Vietnam war. Is now an aerospace medical examiner and physician in a family medicine practice. We live on Blueberry Hill, east of Amherst, on the lee side of Mt. Orient, and have a small horse farm and woods filled with wild critters. We have rehabilitated orphaned raccoons, baby squirrels, a peregrine nestling, a baby bard owl, and assorted other critters. Our three girls, Kate, Amy, and Jenn, graduated from local colleges and grad school (Mt. Holyoke, Smith, Amherst, UMass); all remained within 12 miles of Mom & Dad. Our two grandchildren, Katie and Indi, are as enthusiastic about rollercoasters and I am (I started brainwashing them early!). My husband and I have a Cessna; we fly as often as schedules and weather permit. I am a literary consultant, editor, and narrative therapist. I also edit the literary journal, Peregrine, teach creative writing through the Five-College system, and lead writing retreats at our other house in Norfolk, MA. I started writing fiction after twenty-five years in health care management, program development, and education. I served for many years as a communicable disease specialist to local boards of health, and as a visiting lecturer at the University of Massachusetts. My husband and I are members of Physicians for Social Responsibility and will join Doctors Without Borders when we retire. Life continues to excite and amaze me. Onward!
